Pr\u00e9sentation de Orthetrum coerulescens femelle immature.

L’Orthetrum coerulescens ou Orthetrum bleuissant n’est pas commun en Maine-et-Loire et je n’avais jamais rencontr\u00e9 de jeunes, voire tr\u00e8s jeunes femelles.
3 crit\u00e8res bien visibles permettent d’identifier l’esp\u00e8ce : les longs pt\u00e9rostigmas clairs nous indiquent que le choix est restreint \u00e0 O. brunneum ou coerulescens. Les traits transversaux perpendiculaires \u00e0 la ligne noire m\u00e9diane sur l’abdomen (plut\u00f4t que des paires de points pour O. brunneum) et surtout l’absence de cellules d\u00e9doubl\u00e9es<\/a> au-dessus de la nervure Radiale suppl\u00e9mentaire affirment l’identification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On rencontre parfois des sujets aux ailes tr\u00e8s ambr\u00e9es dans la zone costale et sous costale pr\u00e9 nodale. Un peu comme pour les femelles Corduliidae cette coloration dispara\u00eet le plus souvent chez les adultes mais les veines, noires par ailleurs, restent parfois teint\u00e9es de brun jaun\u00e2tre dans cette zone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On note que le 8\u00b0 segment abdominal est \u00e9largi, ce qu’on retrouve pour de nombreux Orthetrum de par le monde et pour certains Orthemis ; chez ces derniers o\u00f9 l’expansion ventrale est importante, cet \u00e9largissement intervient de fa\u00e7on certaine dans la ponte pour am\u00e9liorer l’\u00e9claboussement<\/a><\/em> lorsque leur abdomen heurte la surface de l’eau.
La face est brune et c’est un d\u00e9tail aussi bien utile pour la s\u00e9parer des femelles Orthetrum brunneum<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On note ci-dessus les 2 points blancs de part et d’autre de la t\u00eate qui repr\u00e9sentent les genoux des pattes ant\u00e9rieures repli\u00e9es derri\u00e8re la t\u00eate.
Ces femelles changeront finalement assez peu de couleur lors de la maturation, sauf pour les yeux qui deviendront bleus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
