Ces petites boules rouges caract\u00e9ristiques  d'un peu plus d'1 mm que l'on rencontre en France sur les Sympetrum (avec une affinit\u00e9 particuli\u00e8re pour <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.meslibellules.fr\/pagesweb\/libellulidae\/sympetrum\/sympetrummeridionale\/meridionale_male4bis.php\" target=\"_blank\">Sympetrum meridionale<\/a>) et les Lestes pr\u00e9sentent certaines des caract\u00e9ristiques des \u0153ufs de leurs h\u00f4tes. Cach\u00e9s sous les fourreaux alaires les futurs parasites migrent sur l'imago en \u00e9mergence d\u00e8s que la cuticule de la larve de l'odonate se d\u00e9chire, pour venir se fixer sur les ailes ou sur le thorax dans le but de se nourrir de l'h\u00e9molymphe de l'odonate.<br>Les larves de ces parasites arriveront \u00e0 maturit\u00e9 \u00e0 peu pr\u00e8s \u00e0 la saison ou les odonates s'accouplent et pondent, et elles en profiteront pour  retourner \u00e0 l'eau poursuivre leur cycle de d\u00e9veloppement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:15px\">2 ans plus tard une prospection dans le m\u00eame marais au Verdon-sur-Mer, beaucoup plus en eau, permet les m\u00eames observations de Lestes barbarus ;
