Ces petites boules rouges caract\u00e9ristiques  d&rsquo;un peu plus d&rsquo;1 mm que l&rsquo;on rencontre en France sur les Sympetrum (avec une affinit\u00e9 particuli\u00e8re pour <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.meslibellules.fr\/pagesweb\/libellulidae\/sympetrum\/sympetrummeridionale\/meridionale_male4bis.php\" target=\"_blank\">Sympetrum meridionale<\/a>) et les Lestes pr\u00e9sentent certaines des caract\u00e9ristiques des \u0153ufs de leurs h\u00f4tes. Cach\u00e9s sous les fourreaux alaires les futurs parasites migrent sur l&rsquo;imago en \u00e9mergence d\u00e8s que la cuticule de la larve de l&rsquo;odonate se d\u00e9chire, pour venir se fixer sur les ailes ou sur le thorax dans le but de se nourrir de l&rsquo;h\u00e9molymphe de l&rsquo;odonate.<br>Les larves de ces parasites arriveront \u00e0 maturit\u00e9 \u00e0 peu pr\u00e8s \u00e0 la saison ou les odonates s&rsquo;accouplent et pondent, et elles en profiteront pour  retourner \u00e0 l&rsquo;eau poursuivre leur cycle de d\u00e9veloppement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\">2 ans plus tard une prospection dans le m\u00eame marais au Verdon-sur-Mer, beaucoup plus en eau, permet les m\u00eames observations de Lestes barbarus ;
