En trois ans de prospection, c’est la premi\u00e8re fois que je parviens \u00e0 faire une photo de femelle. Autant les m\u00e2les sont actifs et facilement visibles pos\u00e9s sur les joncs et les tiges s\u00e8ches des bords des plans d’eau, autant les femelles sont discr\u00e8tes.
L’implantation \u00e9cart\u00e9e des cerco\u00efdes, et sur cette vue l’absence nette de lame anale permettent de la distinguer des m\u00e2les immatures qui conservent un certain temps ce m\u00eame aspect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En 2021<\/strong>, je m’aper\u00e7ois finalement que je n’ai vu qu’une seule femelle mature en 15 ans ! Celle-ci dessus, ma premi\u00e8re<\/em>, n’\u00e9tait pas si mature que \u00e7a, si on en croit ses yeux qui sont encore marrons\/rouge\u00e2tres.
Je consid\u00e8re cette femelle prise dans la tourbi\u00e8re de Sagne Redonde en Ard\u00e8che comme la seule femelle mature, mais non vieille, que j’ai pu photographier alors que l’esp\u00e8ce est des plus communes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

J’ai donc fait une recherche de photos de femelle de l’esp\u00e8ce sur le Web et, en effet, quand on exclut tous les sujets m\u00e2les matures incorrectement \u00e9tiquet\u00e9s comme des femelles, on ne trouve que de rarissimes femelles matures, aux yeux bien sombres, comme montrent \u00e9galement les m\u00e2les bien matures. De plus, on a peu de chance d’en faire des photos lors des accouplements qui sont tr\u00e8s brefs et a\u00e9riens ! C’est le seul Libellulidae commun dans ma r\u00e9gion pour lequel je n’ai (r\u00e9par\u00e9 en ao\u00fbt 2021 !) pas de photo d’accouplement.
On peut alors les consid\u00e9rer comme tr\u00e8s discr\u00e8tes, beaucoup plus que la plupart des femelles Libellulidae.

Il faut noter comme les sacs a\u00e9riens de l’abdomen sont visibles pour cette esp\u00e8ce, avec une pseudo structure en nid d’abeilles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
