Anax imperator femelle en ponte<\/span>
En milieu d’apr\u00e8s-midi, le 19 juin 2021, j’ai observ\u00e9 une Imp\u00e9ratrice errer \u00e0 la surface de l’eau sur un \u00e9tang d’arrosage d’une centaine de m\u00e8tres de long, bord\u00e9 sur 2 de ses longueurs par une zone foresti\u00e8re. Au niveau de l’exutoire, de nombreuses branches sont arr\u00eat\u00e9es par la digue et c’est l’endroit qu’a fini par choisir cette femelle pour pondre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La technique est la m\u00eame pour nos Aeshnidae europ\u00e9ens ; un stylet, que l’on voit tr\u00e8s bien ci-dessous, permet de percer le substrat, qu’il s’agisse de v\u00e9g\u00e9taux vivants ou de bois mort pourrissant comme ici. L’\u0153uf est ins\u00e9r\u00e9 ensuite en plaquant l’ovipositeur sur l’orifice ainsi form\u00e9 et \u00e9chappe de ce fait \u00e0 l’observation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
