They are three species of Tramea in Panama but T. calverti is the only one to have such yellowish diffuse stripes on a brown thorax.
A male left, a female below.
Total length: 45-49 mm. Hind wing: 39-42 mm.
Habitat: shallow ponds with much open water and beds of vegetation.
Distribution: Stripped saddlebag is normally resident in southern Texas and ranges south in lowlands to Argentina, also southern Florida and West Indies. Dennis Paulson in "Dragonflies and Damselflies of the West".
