Le genre Telosticta (Platystictidae) a été créé en 2012 (1) et Telosticta dupophila (Drepanosticta dupophila pour Lieftinck (2)) fait partie du groupe T. feronia qui en est l'espèce type (Drepanosticta feronia pour le même auteur).
