Ghana - Hadrothemis infesta (Karsch, 1891)

Drepanosticta rufostigma (Platystictidae) was described by Selys (under the genus Platysticta) in his synopsis of the Platystictinae of Borneo (1).There are at least 14 Drepanosticta in Sarawak (2), yet it is the only one we encountered. We shouldn't kid ourselves; Platystictidae are a very difficult family in Asia (and elsewhere) for amateurs who discover them,

Ghana - Cyanothemis simpsoni Ris, 1915

Ghana - Cyanothemis simpsoni Ris, 1915

Cyanothemis simpsoni, Libellulidae, is a rarity belonging to a monospecific genus. I am all the more disappointed not to have been able to approach it properly because it exhibits unique characteristics (which makes sense since a genus was created for it) and a striking coloration. Unfortunately, none of these specific details are visible; in particular,
