It was at a very rich pond that we encountered Orthetrum africanum, from afar, and the only one of the trip for me (until proven otherwise). An extraordinary pond indeed, since we observed there three species recorded for the first time in Ghana, such as Agriocnemis victoria, Trithemis aenea, and the very rare Urothemis venata.
